    Re: An Observation

So is attempting to insult me at any and every chance.

It really gets old after a while, so that picture is about all I can do to get the point across that it's really getting stale.

    Re: An Observation

Didn't mean to offend anyone, I'm just kind of getting sick of the constant bashing on here.

Anyways, in that case, the picture has been taken down.

    All apologies.

Back to the topic, Let's take Norton in the State Championship. I didnt see the game, but all football games are won the same way, Run the ball, stop the run and control the line of scrimmage on offense and defense. OK WC was faster, but what if norton would have been considerably stronger up front to dictate the game not chase the game. I know phenominal athletes around here are few and far between, but it blows my mind how we dont have more corn fed, huge, impact lineman.

By impact lineman I am not talking about a kid who can block dwight freeney, but a kid who has decent squat/bench numbers, nice power, can move his feet and hold a block. I don't want kids coming on here and saying "oh we have a guy who can squat 600, and bench 500", because its just not true.

    Re: An Observation

Impact lineman are really hard to find in this area, considering they either have the size but none of the other requirments or they have everything but size. A team is very fortunate to have an actual impact lineman to run behind

    Re: An Observation

I remember when I played my junior year, and our line was gigantic on both sides of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, you had 6'5 280, 6'3 250, 6' 230, 6'1 190, and 6'2 250 and defense was 6'4 240, 6'4 290, 6'2 260, and 6' 230.

I don't know if it was something in the water around 74 or 75, but the kids I see playing today are TINY compared to us. The thing is, I remember playing and we didn't seem that big when we played other people, because they were just as big, if not bigger.
